OUR BOARD

Acting in the best interests of Clarecare, our voluntary Board of Directors provide strong governance to the organisation. This elected Board of Directors with a wealth of experience are responsible for the strategic management of Clarecare.

Helen O'Sullivan

Helen O'Sullivan

Helen joined the Board in 2017 and has been Chairperson of the Board since 2019. She is also a member of the Governance, Remuneration & Nomination Sub-committee and the Quality Assurance & Safety Sub-committee.

Rose Galvin

Rose Galvin

Professor Rose Galvin joined the Clarecare Board in April 2020 and is a member of the Quality Assurance and Safety Sub-committee. Rose is an Associate Professor in Physiotherapy at the University of Limerick. She has a long-standing interest in applied health research in ageing.

Claire Delaney

Claire Delaney

Claire joined the Board in October 2021 and is a member of the Finance and Audit Sub-committee. Claire has over 40 years’ experience of working with the community and voluntary sector through her role in the HSE in both community care and older persons services.

Michael Neylon

Michael Neylon

Michael joined the Board in 1995 and is a member of the Estate Management Sub-committee. Michael is a native of West Clare and has lived in Ennis since 1974. He is a teacher by profession and taught at Ennis Community School for 25 years.

Sean Conlon

Sean Conlon

Sean joined the Board in 2022. He is a retired Education Officer with Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board, former Adult Education Officer with Clare VEC.

Bill Twomey

Bill Twomey

Bill joined the Board in 2019 and is the current Treasurer. He is Chairperson of the Audit & Finance Sub-committee and also a member of the Estate Management Sub-committee.

Margaret Hennessy

Margaret Hennessy

Margaret joined the Board in 2014. Margaret fostered good working relationships with Clarecare throughout her career in the HSE in several areas. The PHN service was closely linked to the home help service run by Clarecare.

Fr Ignatius McCormack

Fr Ignatius McCormack

Fr Ignatius joined the Board in 2022. He is Principal at St. Flannan’s College, Ennis – a school which fosters spiritual development, academic excellence, responsibility to self and service to others.

  • Quality Assurance and Safety (QA&S)
  • Audit and Finance
  • Estate Management
